A Monster Calls (2016)
Cried my face off watching this. Maybe hit a little too close to home. I’d say I’d like to read the novel by Patrick Ness, but I don’t think I could put myself through that again. At least not for a long while.
The animated sequences alone were worth the watch. So beautifully done. Jim Kay’s artwork (the book’s illustrator) is not to be missed either.

There was so much ice on my car after that storm, I genuinely broke my scraper trying to clean off my windshield.
And thus, a new superhero was born upon that day. Mostly because I kept jumping out at fellow coworkers wielding the scraper remnants whilst yelling SCRAPERINE! SHA SHA SHA!

I wanted this to be my letterboxd header, but apparently you have to be a paying member for such incredibly valuable perks. So I’ll just leave this here.
Wow!
I’m really looking forward to Debbie Harry in the upcoming final season of Game of Thrones.
I just spent 25 minutes trapped in my own car. Parked in my own parking space. With no other cars and/or person(s) involved.
Note to self: when exiting vehicle, be sure to put keys in a safe spot where the ‘lock’ button won’t accidentally depress at the exact same time as the car door is being opened - thus, obviously, creating a tear in the space-time continuum causing variances in the multineural drives to become unresponsive.
And Caros to be inexplicably immobilized for ludicrous amounts of time.

CHEESE ADVENT CALENDARS ARE A THING THAT EXISTS IN THIS WORLD.
